There are a number of different ways you can use your
sub-domain:
As a "Mirror Site", a "Front
Door" Site or a newly designed, complete web
site.
The best thing about your new
website name
is that the invitation to visit is already built into your
"Please Visit" name!
- You can authorize us to make copies of
your front page and any other pages you wish to have hosted on this site
(www.pleasevisit.com) using your sub-domain (www.yourname.pleasevisit.com). If no
design work is required, there will be no additional charge for this service. The
copied pages can act as a duplicate website, also known as a "mirror"
site.
- You can request that we copy only your
front page and then change the links on the front page so that they are directed to the
other pages on your existing website. Then your new sub-domain will serve mainly as
a portal (or front door) to an existing website. The advantage of
doing this is that you will continue to have access to your existing website (except for
the front page) to make changes and updates. If your existing website is on a free
server, such as Tripod or Geocities, you can continue to receive those free
services. Your new webpage address on pleaseVisit.com is likely to be more
"acceptable" to many of the major search engines which are known to exclude some
of the free websites. There is an additional charge for reconfiguring and
redirecting links to your site for $10 per link.
